#DoesRishiCare?

I am getting in touch to ask that you to support and promote the petition we have just launched as part of the #KeepYourPromiseBoris campaign that Carers UK is running alongside other members of the Care and Support Alliance.

The focus of our campaign has now shifted from the Prime Minister to the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, as the Government’s recently announced plans to improve funding for social care by raising taxes will not see any significant or tangible improvements until 2023. For many carers, who are in desperate and immediate need, this will simply be too late!

That’s why we are now calling on Rishi Sunak to stop these funding delays at the Government’s spending Review on 27 October 2021, and commit to providing councils with the funding they need to better support older and disabled people and their carers.

We ask that you please sign the petition yourself, and also share it widely to show the Chancellor that #SocialCareCantWait.

We would also be delighted if you could also help to promote the campaign on social media using the hashtags #DoesRishiReallyCare and #SocialCareCantWait.
