Mindfulness and Stress Management
Event Date: 26th May 2015

“Mindfulness and Stress Management” course which will be held at the Eden Health and Wellbeing Hub on Tuesday 26th May from 10am-11.45am.

It has been found that carers often have feelings of stress and anxiety, which may be contributed to by any caring responsibilities they have. Long lasting feelings of stress can have a negative impact on health and wellbeing, and can lead to conditions such as high blood pressure. However, it has been proven that practicing mindfulness can help to reduce these feelings, by helping bring the attention of the mind to the present moment. This can be achieved in a number of ways, including meditation, gardening and creative writing.

This course will give information on the importance of managing stress, and provide ideas on how to manage stress, paying particular attention to how mindfulness can help. Please wear comfortable clothing, and feel free to bring any blankets or cushions, which can be used in relaxation sessions.

If you are interested in attending this course, please contact us and ask for Emma or Jess.
