Student Work Placements
Eden Carers has been involved in the training of social workers for a number of years and is committed to ensuring University students have an experience which will equip them for the challenging role they will have as qualified social workers.
Eden Carers aspires to be a learning organisation and has a philosophy of ensuring that staff have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in an ongoing way. The Chief Officer is a member of the ASYE panel set up by the County Council and local universities.
We also take Nursing and Occupational Therapy University students.
Eden Carers work with both Adult and Young Carers giving students the opportunity to build a wide range of skills. Eden Carers use a client based therapeutic approach, using an assessment, planning, intervention and review based model.
Throughout the placement, a student should contribute and communicate with a wide range of professionals and will develop multi-professional working skills to provide the best support for the Carer.
Finally, Eden Carers enjoys having University students and welcomes the challenge and fresh out-look students bring to the team.
